Custom Orders

Every piece in our catalogue started as a custom order for someone's table. If you have an idea for a deck box, dice tray, DM screen, or any other laser-cut tabletop accessory that does not exist in the armoury, we can probably build it. Here is how the custom process works, what materials we use, and what to expect on timeline and pricing.

/ The process

From idea to finished piece.

1

Send us the brief

Email with a description of what you want. Include dimensions if you have them, reference photos, and what the piece needs to hold or do. Rough sketches are helpful but not required. The more context about how you play, the better we can design.

2

We design & quote

We reply within two working days with a design concept, material options, and a firm price. For complex pieces we include a flat-layout diagram showing how the cuts will work. Changes at this stage are free and expected.

3

Approve & produce

Once you approve the design and pay the deposit (50% on orders over $100), we queue the piece. Most custom work ships within 10-14 working days. Rush orders available for an additional fee if the laser schedule allows.

4

Finish & ship

We sand, finish, and assemble by hand. Before packing, we photograph the finished piece and send you a preview. If something is off, we fix it before it ships. Balance due on approval. Ships from Louisville, KY via USPS Priority.

/ Materials

What we work with.

Walnut plywood. Our most popular material. Rich dark grain, finishes beautifully, strong enough for functional pieces. Ideal for deck boxes, dice trays, and DM screens. 3mm and 6mm thicknesses available.

Baltic birch. Lighter colour, very stable, excellent for engraving because the contrast between the surface and the engraved area is sharp. Good for pieces where the engraving is the main visual element.

Cast acrylic. Available in clear, frosted, and a range of colours. We use it for life counters, token trays, and accent pieces. Acrylic engraves with a frosted finish that looks striking when backlit.

Felt lining. All dice trays and the interior of most boxes are lined with felt. We stock black, burgundy, forest green, and navy. Custom felt colours on request.

/ Popular commissions

What people ask us to make.

Engraved campaign gifts. A dice tray or deck box with the campaign name, date range, and player names laser-engraved. Popular as end-of-campaign presents from the DM to the party.

Tournament trophies. Local game stores and tournament organisers commission acrylic and walnut trophies for MTG and D&D events. We can match store branding and add event-specific details.

Character-themed boxes. A deck box or dice vault with the player's character silhouette, class symbol, or custom art engraved on the lid. Bring your own artwork or describe the character and we will design a silhouette.

Bulk store orders. Game stores buying 20+ units of a standard product at wholesale pricing. We can add the store logo to the bottom of each piece.

/ Pricing

What custom work costs.

Custom pricing depends on material, size, and complexity. As a rough guide:

Engraved versions of catalogue items (adding a name, date, or design to an existing product): add $15-25 to the catalogue price.

Modified catalogue items (different dimensions, extra compartments, custom lid design): add $30-60 depending on complexity.

Fully custom pieces (something not in the catalogue): typically $80-250 depending on size and material. We provide a firm quote before you commit to anything.

There is no design fee. If we quote a custom piece and you decide not to proceed, you owe nothing. We eat the design time because most custom enquiries turn into orders eventually.
